Semi Permanent Make Up Brow Pre & Post Treatment Guidelines

Pre-Treatment

Please ensure that you have given your skin a good exfoliation prior to attending your appointment in order to achieve best results.

Good hydration will also promote good healing, as will well moistured skin.

Please avoid the sun beds for 72 hours prior to attending your appointment; this is just to avoid arriving to your appointment with burnt skin.

If you normally have your eyebrows waxed and tinted, please do this as normal within a week of your appointment.

Post-Treatment

If you have any queries or feel your procedure is not healing as explained please telephone your specialist immediately. Do not panic that the area treated may show redness / swelling and that the colour looks dark and intense – this is all quite normal.

Additional treatments cannot be undertaken until the area has completely healed. A 4/6 week healing time is required before any more work can be undertaken.

If showering please try and avoid the water jets hitting the treated area. Try to avoid the gym, sauna or pool throughout the healing process.

Once the area has healed completely, for approximately 4 weeks consider using a waterproof total sun block when going out in the sun to stop colour fade. Strong chemicals or Glycolic Acid/Peels of any kind may cause the pigment to lighten – always telephone and check with your specialist if in any doubt.

Use facial wipes or a gentle cleanser around the area for around 2/3 weeks. Do not pick, scratch or itch. The less you play the better they will stay. Please keep your Brows as dry as possible. You will go through the following: (1) Heal (2) Peel (3) Fade then the colour will return around 20% Lighter for Nano.

You may notice whiteness or blanching around the area, this is quite normal and will subside within 12 hours. If you find any lymphatic fluid or blood weeping you can gently dab the area with saline/ cool boiled water and gauze, blotting gently dry to remove all moisture.

You will not need to apply any additional aftercare to your Brows due to the quality of the new Dragons Blood Butter that has already been applied to your Brows. If you wish to apply makeup we suggest you purchase new products to avoid cross contamination. After the fine scabbing has sloughed away you will see a different hue to the colour implanted. Your brows need to naturally dry out, please do not apply any additional products to your brows. If the area starts to feel a little itchy you could take non drowsy anti-histamines as this will help with the urge to itch. If they feel a little swollen this is perfectly normal however as long as you are not allergic you could take Ibuprofen as this is an anti-inflammatory. Please ensure you have something to eat if you do choose to take Ibuprofen.
